Myeongly (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a Korean astrology (Saju) reading service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable privacy laws.

We collect the following data to provide personalized astrology readings:

• Date of birth (year, month, day)
• Submitted birth time or a 12:00 noon estimate marker
• Gender
• Anonymous authentication identifier
• Subscription status (free or premium)
• Compatibility partner details you enter: partner birth date, optional birth time, and gender
• Advertising ID and ad interaction data where Google Mobile Ads applies

When you use Compatibility, partner birth date, optional birth time, and gender are used to calculate that reading; Myeongly does not ask for partner names in this version. We do not collect your real name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily contact us.

• Calculate your Saju (Four Pillars) chart based on birth data
• Generate astrology readings using traditional Four Pillars logic
• Calculate compatibility readings from your chart and partner birth details
• Generate premium compatibility narrative sections from structured Saju comparison data
• Cache calculation and compatibility results to improve performance
• Process purchases through RevenueCat
• Provide ad-supported free access and rewarded ad unlocks through Google Mobile Ads

Your birth profile is saved locally in secure device storage so the app can reopen your reading. Birth details are sent to Supabase Edge Functions to calculate your chart. Shared Saju calculation cache records are not linked to an account by user ID, while compatibility cache records are linked to your anonymous account and may include a hashed partner birth signature and generated result. All data transmission is encrypted via TLS.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and data storage
• RevenueCat — In-app purchase management
• Google Mobile Ads — Ad delivery, rewarded ad unlocks, and ad measurement
• Google Generative Language API — Premium compatibility narrative generation from structured Saju comparison data, such as element balance, Day Master labels, compatibility score, and teaser signals

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function, and we do not send partner names because they are not collected.

Myeongly includes ad-supported free access through Google Mobile Ads. We do not share your birth data or Saju readings with advertisers, and ads are not targeted using your astrology information.

To serve and measure ads, Google Mobile Ads and its partners may collect and process a mobile advertising identifier (Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. This data is handled under Google’s Advertising Policy.

You can control personalized advertising at any time:

• iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• Android — Settings → Google → Ads, and turn on “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization.”

Opting out does not remove ads; it limits their personalization.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — Request deletion of all your data
• Portability — Receive your data in a portable format
• Restriction — Limit how we process your data
• Objection — Object to data processing

You can delete your account and account-linked data at any time. To do so:

• Go to Profile → Delete Account & Data for in-app account and local data removal

In-app deletion removes your anonymous account, account-linked subscription and compatibility cache records, and local saved birth/profile data. Shared Saju calculation cache records are not user-scoped, so they are not deleted per account unless a future schema links them to a user. Google Play, RevenueCat, and payment processor purchase records may be retained by those processors or where required by law.

• Local birth/profile data — Stored on your device until you edit or delete it
• Shared Saju calculation cache — Retained for performance because it is not linked to an account by user ID
• Compatibility cache and partner birth hash — Linked to your anonymous account and deleted with account deletion
• Authentication and subscription rows — Deleted with account deletion
• Purchase records — Retained by Google Play, RevenueCat, payment processors, or as required by law
• Advertising ID and ad interaction records — Processed by Google Mobile Ads according to Google's retention policies

Myeongly is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for immediate deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
