Request permanent deletion of all your Myeongly data.
What gets deleted
When you request account deletion, we permanently remove the following data from our systems:
- Your birth data (date, time, and city)
- All Saju calculation results cached on our servers
- All AI-generated astrology reports
- Your anonymous authentication record
- Subscription records (after any active subscription ends)
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once processed, your data cannot be restored.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — From the app
Open Myeongly → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Confirm the action and your request will be queued immediately.
Option 2 — By email
If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject line “Delete Account Request”. Include:
- Your anonymous user ID (found in the app: Profile → Settings → About, if available)
- Your birth date (used to match your account)
- Explicit confirmation that you want all data deleted
Timeline
We process account deletion requests within 30 days of receipt, in compliance with GDPR. In most cases, deletion completes within a few business days.
You will receive an email confirmation once your data has been fully removed.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your Myeongly account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel it separately through the store:
- iOS — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Myeongly → Cancel Subscription
- Android — Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Myeongly → Cancel Subscription
We recommend canceling your subscription before requesting account deletion to avoid unexpected charges.
Data retained after deletion
By law, we must retain certain records even after account deletion:
- Payment records (retained as required by tax and financial regulations)
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics (cannot be linked back to you)
No personal, identifiable data will remain once deletion is complete.
